The Night. An evening walk through the spine of Campeche's historic centre — Calle 59, the city walls at dusk, the mercado, and a three-course meal with the best view in the city. Then drinks and Lotería Campechana — the most popular game in Campeche, played for over 130 years.
Campeche is a different city in the evening. The heat drops, the walls catch the last of the light, and the streets that were quiet at noon fill with the ordinary rhythm of a city that has been doing this for 500 years. This experience is designed to walk you through that transition — from the sea gate to the plaza, through the market, along the walls, and into the night.
The walk follows Calle 59, the spine of the historic centre, from Puerta del Mar to Puerta de Tierra. Between the gates: a stop at one of the most serious silver and gemstone workshops in the city — 15 years of craft, four artisans, .925 silver set with Mexican opals, Guatemalan jade, and Chiapas amber with insects. A small piece is included in your experience. It leaves with you.
The walk continues along the exterior walls as the sun goes down — then through the mercado as it winds down for the night, and back through the quieter streets toward the plaza. Casa Vieja del Rio is waiting. Dinner on the balcony, the Cathedral below, a Margarita Campechana in front of you. Then Lotería.
